I used this analogy to a colleague:

I have entered a room, which I have never been in before. Oh, I have seen the door in the distance and had a perspective of what the room held and was like. Yet, four weeks ago, I opened the door and walked in. I am finding some surprises. I have looked back through the door at what I left behind and sighed.

On our back fence of our home, hangs a large red heart. I tracked down a blacksmith (which is not easy to do) to forge a red heart for Denise for her birthday, to hang on one of our fence panels. She loves red and she loves hearts. At times, she will ask me, “What does your heart say on this?”
